PolySTAR is a vaccine platform technology designed to enable recombinant viral vaccines to be used safely and effectively by delivering them directly to target cells and avoiding premature neutralization. PolySTAR is essentially a ‘Trojan-Horse’ approach, enabling the vaccine to slip under the ‘radar’ of the immune systems in order to prevent premature destruction. This approach will allow recombinant viral vaccines to be used repeatedly in the same individuals and finally establish recombinant viruses as an effective vaccine platform.
